The Conceptual Description of the Artworks

We live in a ‘rapid’ world, namely in a world where everything is produced and consumed rapidly. In such a circumstance, the comprehension of the external world in its own time and space without becoming one with its dynamism does not seem possible.

These works, which are the results of observations and experiences regarding the concept of ‘rapidity’, imply a world in which a hectic moment is stabilized and transformed. This world in its essence is also the acknowledgment of our lostness in the constantly moving crowds.

“I never thought that my life would shatter as if it was a crystal breaking up into countless pieces and that I would be freed from the captivity of the past and witness my future. Until that day…

The time is in the present. The past and the future are the twinnings of the present. Breaking, on the other hand, is the beginning of a new story that cannot be returned to again, and which eliminates the creation of the past by itself. It is the story of us all actually.

Each individual carries deep marks of their past and family damage in their selfhood. The energy that the past imposes on us is actually nothing more than what the individual imposes on herself/himself. Over time, we become addicted to the deep marks and attempt to discard this burden that we cannot comprehend. However, the past has been over. It has happened, and it has come to an end. The BREAKINGS through, are the re-birth. The time has come for the energies imposed on our souls to emerge. We must bid farewell to the memory-charged images and objects, to which we have become addicted over time, and liberate them with their own imposed energies. Every detachment from the past is a break and it must deliver new stories with its new energy and new beginnings.

In this story, each Crystal piece symbolizes a break from the past and a reach toward the future, despite being taken out of its context and being tough yet delicate, transparent, and reflective in its shattered state. Just as the unwillingness of our soul to be stuck in a crystal in an effort to break away from the captivity of the past and the chains to which it is attached.

the conceptual description of works

The elements that make up the urban texture, the new life dynamics and RHYTHMS that make up the city are a whole.

My paintings, composed of elements like form, light, nature and colour are shaped by the physical structure of the city and by the combination of the above elements, and all these enable my art in urban spaces to be created. All the observed and experienced environmental factors compiled by the art create a new RHYTHM as either harmony or disharmony.

Together with the speed of industry and technology as a historical process, entering city life in a way and its effects on psychology, this mechanical mobility occurs with the dynamism of life.

the conceptual description of works;

“To point to the marks that domination durably imprints in bodies and the effects it exerts through them does not mean that one is offering support to that particularly vicious way of ratifying domination.”

The body’s exposure to every kind of domination is the stand against the consent and acceptance with the documentations of communal violence. The manifestation of the official parlance established by the judicial institutions as an image in the ” The Story of Assault” and the imprinting of these bodies on the Body Diagrams represent every kind of formal and intellectual “Violence”.

It is a heroic act to reveal the scars on bodies exposed to domination and violence by documenting them without fear, instead of hiding them from society. Because this is the heroic remembrance of the truth that has been forgotten or is on the verge of being forgotten.
